God Sees You, Mama

God Sees You, Mama

To the mama struggling to get her family to church on Sunday morning: God sees you.

To the mama who is tempted to give up and just stay home: God sees you.

To the mama running late yet again: God sees you.

To the mama buttoning shirts, brushing hair, tying shoes and wiping little noses in the church parking lot: God sees you.

To the mama who sneaks in late and tries to find an inconspicuous seat on the back row: God sees you.

To the mama who gets up and leaves the sanctuary for the umpteenth time to nurse or soothe a fussy baby: God sees you.

To the mama who barely hears a word of the sermon: God sees you.

To the mama whose Sunday dress is marked with spit up and drool, whose hair is tangled from tiny fingers: God sees you.

To the mama listening to the sermon from the cry room: God sees you.

To the mama wondering if it was even worth coming: God sees you.

God sees you.

Those little babies you’re raising? They see you, too.

It’s worth it, mamas.

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. Ephesians 2: 8-9
