Valentine’s Day Tablescape

Happy Valentine’s Day! Flowers, chocolate, the color pink, and a day to celebrate the ones we love? Yes, please!

Tablescapes are one of the easiest and most inexpensive ways to add that little extra touch to your home for holidays and celebrations, and Valentine’s Day is no exception.

Tablescapes are easy and inexpensive when you use the same basic elements over and over. I always ground my tablescapes with the same simple basics: a plain white tablecloth, a neutral ruffled runner, and my white pearl dinnerware that we registered for when we got married. (Tip: Keeping your basics neutral or white allows you to mix and match and allows you to set the foundation for every tablescape, no matter the occasion!)

After I set the table with the basic foundation, I switch up my chargers, napkins, flowers or dessert plates depending on the holiday. Then I have a little fun adding easy, inexpensive holiday decor that I pick up from the DollarTree or the Target dollar spot. The finishing touch? A sweet treat from the bakery or seasonal candy!

My inspiration for this Valentine’s Day tablescape came from these faux tulipsYes, you read that correctly: faux tulips! Can you believe they aren’t real?! (Thank you to my sweet friend Emily over at Handmade Farmhouse for sharing and letting us in on her little secret!)

I added them to my amazon cart and clicked “Buy Now” before I even knew what happened. Don’t you hate when that happens?! 😉 Not only are they beautiful, they look and feel so real!

I love having fresh flowers in the house, but to be quite honest I don’t love spending extra money at the grocery store every week only to bring home flowers that last a few days and then die. These faux tulips will add that same element to your home and they will last all year long! I love pink no matter the occasion (it’s my favorite color!), but I especially love these pink tulips for Valentine’s Day, Spring, Easter and Mother’s Day.

The tulips themselves are so beautiful that I kept the rest of the tablescape decor very simple.

While browsing Amazon I came across these pink buffalo check dinner napkins. I love buffalo check almost as much as I love pink! And just like the pink tulips, I can think of so many other holidays and occasions where I will be able to use them again.

The white cupcake stands are from the Target Dollar Spot. The pink and white hearts scattered on the table runner are from the DollarTree, and so are the gold chargers. I noticed the chargers around Christmas because they have the same beaded pearl detail as our dinnerware, and they go perfectly with the subtle gold touches in our dining room. The hobnail vase is from my thrifted milk glass collection (which I use for just about everything!), and I tied a scalloped pink ribbon on my cake stand to showcase the Valentine’s Day cupcakes.

This sweet pink tablescape was easy and inexpensive to create, but it added that extra festive touch to our home this Valentine’s Day. Now to go eat those cupcakes and love on my own little Valentine’s! Happy Valentine’s Day!

And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. 1 John 4:16
