Cotton Field Family Photos

I’m so excited to share our cotton field family photos with you today! Obviously little man is the star of the show and he’s way cuter than either of us so I will start with him. I mean… come on! Have you ever seen anything so cute and so sweet and so handsome?! Me either.

Once I year I try to get professional photos of our family and I try to time these for the fall so that I have a picture for our Christmas card each year. You may remember our family photos from last year.

It’s no secret that I love cotton. I had seen such gorgeous family photos taken in cotton fields and I always dreamed of having our own family photos in an open beautiful cotton field somewhere.

When I saw that Hayden Cate Photography was offering mini sessions at a cotton field just outside of Atlanta I jumped at the opportunity.

These family photos were taken at Sam Smith Park in Cartersville. It is not too far outside of Atlanta and it is worth the drive!

The cotton fields are open to the public and they are so beautiful. They make the perfect backdrop for photos so it’s no surprise there were dozens of other photographers and families doing the exact same thing on this gorgeous fall day.

John Davis was now big enough to wear his bowtie that I talked about in this post so of course I was so excited to dress him and Daddy in matching baby blue bowties.

I paired their bowties with simple white shirts and khaki pants.

I took a chance when I ordered this inexpensive pink maxi wrap dress from Amazon.

I was pleasantly surprised with the fit and the material.

It’s not the highest quality by any means but it was just perfect for these family photos.

Once again I’m so glad I have these annual photos to document this sweet time in our life as a little family of three.

Now I just have to narrow down my favorite for our 2017 Christmas card.

Which will be hard because I love them all!

I especially love this photo because it’s so rare that I have a picture of just me and my baby. It’s true what they say: little boys love their mamas. And this little boy has me especially wrapped around his finger if you can’t already tell.
