Easter Bunny Cookies
There’s something so fun and special about the tradition of baking sugar cookies around the holidays (and no, I’m not just talking about Christmas!).
I have such fond memories of helping Mother in the kitchen as we carefully crafted cut out sugar cookies for every occasion.
We have experimented and tried almost every single sugar cookie recipe out there. And let me tell you, a large majority of them were total flops!
There’s nothing worse than having to wait hours while your cookie dough chills in the refrigerator (especially if you’re a busy mom with young children!) or cookie dough that completely loses its shape once baked.
This past Christmas I went on the hunt for the perfect sugar cookie recipe and I am happy to report that I found it!
This sugar cookie recipe from In Katrina’s Kitchen is titled the “Best Sugar Cookie Recipe EVER.” And rightfully so.
The title was enough to reel me in, and after trying the recipe I was hooked!
The recipe comes together quickly and easily, it does not need to be chilled in the refrigerator, and the cookies keep their shape and edges perfectly when baked!
These sugar cookies are delicious – they are soft and flavorful – and pair perfectly with a cup of coffee 😉
This is now our go-to sugar cookie recipe for every occasion!
When I saw this bunny cookie cutter I just knew I had to get in the kitchen with John Davis and make some Easter bunny cookies.
They turned out so cute!!
Instead of icing the entire cookie, I used white icing and white sprinkles to make a bunny tail.
And someone’s (ahem, John Davis 🙂 ) little finger just couldn’t stay away. I can’t say that I blame him.
This batch of bunny cookies is now long gone, but we are making another batch together this weekend to have out for Eater Sunday lunch. I know our family and friends will love them, and they look just as pretty sitting out on the table!
