Getting Ready for Baby + Free Big Brother Printable

I can hardly believe that we get to meet baby brother tomorrow (eeeek!). We are so excited to meet this sweet baby, but I would be lying if I said my emotions weren’t all over the place. It’s sinking in that the days of just me and my first baby are coming to an end. In some ways I feel guilty that John Davis is about to have his little world turned upside down and he has no clue. As we get closer to meeting baby brother I have been trying to soak up every minute with John Davis and spend as much quality one-on-one time with him as possible. I want to make this a special and exciting time for him as well!

I know that he is going to be the best big brother. I’ll be living in a fraternity house, but I know they will be the very best buddies (and I’m sure gang up together against their poor mama) 🙂

Big Brother Printable

One of the ways I plan to make it special for John Davis is to have a gift “from” baby brother for John Davis to open in the hospital. The gift is nothing special – a toy, a big brother book and some lollipops. But I hope that it will make him feel special and important too when so much of the attention is on a new baby.

Of course I had to make it cute and coordinate with his Big Brother outfit he will be wearing to meet baby brother in the hospital. I wrapped it in white wrapping paper, tied it up with a baby blue gingham ribbon and bow, and topped it off with a simple Big Brother printable that I’m sharing with you today!

I can’t go without sharing the coordinating blue gingham Big Brother outfit that I mentioned above.

Surprise, surprise, this was a DIY project as well. I order all my blank shirts and shorts from Blanks Boutique. The blanks are high-quality, affordable, and ship quickly. And the shorts come with a coordinating fabric swatch to use for applique! I downloaded the Big Brother applique from Etsy.

I can’t wait to see John Davis wear this sweet outfit up to the hospital on Friday, but just thinking about it makes me cry! I can’t wait to have my two boys in my arms.
