Happy Valentine’s Day 2019
I hope you had a Happy Valentine’s Day! We had so much fun over here and I can’t help but unashamedly share these photos of my beautiful babies.
Valentine’s Day may very well be a made up holiday to make money off of suckers like me, but I’ll take any excuse to celebrate my little loves and make them feel extra special and loved.
My heart behind going the extra mile for holidays and parties is to create the sense of celebration, joy and hospitality in our home and for our family.
Growing up my Mama always did the same for us and it made every holiday or milestone, however big or small, feel like a special event to be celebrated. I hope to pass that excitement on to my own children and these little faces make it ALL worth it!
I snapped these photos of John Davis when he so gladly agreed to be the taste tester for his Valentine’s Day heart lollipops (you can find the full tutorial here and download the matching free Valentine’s Day printable here). We were just having fun in the kitchen but these photos of him just take my breath away!
And not to leave little brother out, Fletcher and I had a little fun doing a photoshoot of our own too.
He looked at me like, “Really mom?! This is embarrassing.”
I’ll eat you up I love you so!
And I really could just eat him right up.
Especially those thighs. It should be illegal to cover those things up! I can’t wait for warmer weather to get here so we can showcase those rolls in a bubble all Spring and Summer long.
I look at these precious, beautiful babies everyday and sometimes I still can’t believe they are mine.
Lately John Davis and Fletcher have really started to interact and “play” together and I don’t think anything in the world could make my heart any happier than seeing them love on each other.
They already have such a special bond. Fletcher constantly looks up to John Davis and watches everything he does. He thinks Big Brother is so funny.
When Fletcher was first born I was so worried about how John Davis would adapt to having another baby in the house. Turns out my worries were completely unfounded because he is the sweetest big brother I could have ever imagined. He does love hard though, as evidenced by the picture above. Hug or headlock? It’s hard to say ; )
I pray that they will always be best friends!
Aren’t their shirts the cutest?! These were made by Grandmother. She can’t let a holiday pass by without making sure her grandbabies have custom matching shirts 🙂
The night before Valentine’s Day I set up John Davis’s little table with Valentine’s treats for him to wake up to.
As you can tell from his face he absolutely loved it! … Or maybe he was just really excited about that cupcake! Either way there’s nothing I love more than putting a smile on that little face.
The day before John Davis had his Valentine’s Day party at school. He brought home his Valentine’s box he made and I thought it was the most hilarious thing I had ever seen!! He was very proud of it, too.
I had so much fun celebrating Valentine’s Day with my littlest loves (and my big one too!). If you can’t tell, I sure do love them.
